MESSAGE STICKS FILM FESTIVAL

Fresh from its successful launch at the
SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE, the Message Sticks Indigenous Film Festival is touring australia until august 2008.

Message Sticks is one of Australia's most popular film festivals, featuring a free program of documentaries and short films by emerging Indigenous Australian directors and producers.

This milkbar bar collaborated with IAMBIC MOTION ARTS COLLECTIVE to produce a stop motion animation opening trailer. IT WAS shot over TWO NIGHTS BY PHOTOGRAPHER MIKAELA BURSTOW ON THE STEPS OF THE SYDNEY OPERA HOuse.

ABC COMMERCIAL

In July 2008 ABC Commercial launched its new coloured logo on-air. DESIGNED by THE GLUE SOCIETY, The new coloured "worm" was developed into a TVC by KASTNER AND PARTNERS SYDNEY and The MilkBar, working with the design team from PICTUREDRIFt.

AS WELL AS DEVELOPING A TVC WE PRODUCED A 3D HD OPENER TO FEATURE ON ALL ABC DVDS and rebranded all abc on-air product promos.

Retail therapy online

with the KNOWLEDGE that window shopping is one of the favourite PASSTIMES througout aSIA, WE PRODUCED AN ABC PRODUCTS SPOT FOR THE AUSTRALIA NETWORK. IT was CREATED from hand painted drawings animated to create A world of shop fronts, PROMOTing ABCSHOP.COM.AU across ASIA, REACHING 40 COUNTRIES AND 20 MILLION HOMES.

THE SPOT WAS illustrated and animated BY GLEN YEOH AND SAM MOORE. IT WAS WRITTEN AND PRODUCED BY THE MILKBAR.

TOYOTA TRD HILUX LAUNCH


Toyota Australia has chosen to unveil their much anticipated supercharged TRD HiLux ahead of its International Motor Show debut. THE MILKBAR PRODUCED A TOP GEAR STYLE REVIEW AT EASTERN CREEK RACEWAY WITH RACING LEGENDS NEIL CROMPTON AND RICK BATES.

THE VIDEO WAS PRODUCED IN ASSOCIATION FOR GEORGE P. JOHNSONS FOR sAAtchI & SAATCHI SYDNEY. IT WAS DIRECTED AND EDITED BY PETER CRAMER. THE DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY WAS PAUL HOWARD.

WHAT's ON THE BLACK BOX?


TO LAUNCH NITV ON FOXTEL, THE MILKBAR CREATED A CAMPAIGN OF EIGHT branding IDENTS. SHOT ON 35MM FILM AROUND REDFERN AND THE NORTHERN BEACHES OF SYDNEY. THE SPOTS reflect THE DIVERSITY OF CONTEMPORARY INDIGENOUS CULTURE while IDENTIFYING THE RANGE OF NITV GENRES.

NATIONAL INDIGENOUS TELEVISION IS THE NEWEST NATIONAL BROADCASTING SERVICE IN AUSTRALIA and CELEBRATES THE WORLD'S OLDEST LIVING CULTURE.

A miracle oF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

FIFTY YEARS AGO A YOUNG DANISH ARCHITECT DESIGNED A MASTERPIECE THAT PUSHED THE BOUNDARIES OF CREATIVITY AND SCIENCE AND PUT SYDNEY ON THE MAP FOREVER.

THE MILKBAR WORKED CLOSELY WITH THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE TO PRODUCE A SHORT DOCUMENTARY UNCOVERING THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SECRETS. IT PREMIERED AT THE ESSENTIAL TOUR LAUNCH.

MINI STRIKE

MINI fans in Sydney strike it lucky when the fun-loving brand brings a new attraction to Haymarket.

MINI Strike is a life-size bowling game that shows off the dynamic handling and maneuverability of a MINI in the hands of a professional driver AS THEY RACE AT HIGH SPEED AROUND LARGE INFLATABLE PINS.

THE EVENT WAS ORGANISED BY PLAY COMMUNICATIONS AND THE MILKBAR WROTE AND DIRECTED THE TVC AND VIRAL campaign.

Blazin' 2007 is the much anticipated sixth volume in this groundbreaking series that is mixed by DJ Nino Brown, Australia's biggest urban DJ. Working with director Hugh Ballantyne and UNIVERSAL MUSIC The Milkbar produced a behind the scenes documentary that followed DJ Nino Brown AND local Hip-Hop artists Tyree and Ken Hell in the studio and on tour around Australia.

OUR LATEST SPOT for ABC2 PLAYS ON the notion that most viewers are STILL UNAWARE they need a set-top box to receive widescreen free to air Television. We enjoyed the cheekiness of producing a retail STYLE spot for ABC tV. The PROMO needed to be EFFORTLESS and direct to communicate how easy it is to receive digital TV.

WORKING CLOSELY WITH ABC CORPORATE WE HAVE ALSO PRODUCED A TESTIMONIAL REEL, WHICH WILL BE USED TO LOBBY POLITICIANS IN CANBERRA.
